Quoted in FOX 13: How AI Is Changing Home Renderings in Real Estate

by Shane Vanderson

I was recently quoted in a FOX 13 Tampa Bay story about how artificial intelligence is changing the way homes are marketed and visualized. The piece focused on how AI-powered renderings can help show buyers what a property could look like after updates, furnishing, or design changes, often much faster than traditional rendering timelines.

That matters because many buyers do not make decisions based only on what a home is today. They are also evaluating what it could become. When used correctly, AI renderings can help bridge that gap by giving buyers a clearer picture of a home’s potential before they commit to a renovation or purchase.

In my view, the best use of AI in real estate is as a visualization tool, not a substitute for real analysis. It can help buyers imagine possibilities and help sellers present a property more effectively, but it still has to be grounded in honest representation, thoughtful strategy, and local market knowledge.

For sellers, that may mean using AI to help illustrate design potential in a home that needs cosmetic updates. For buyers, it can mean better understanding whether a property is worth the investment based on its layout, condition, and future possibilities.

Technology is moving quickly, and AI will continue to play a larger role in real estate marketing. But the strongest results still come from combining the right tools with the right guidance.

If you are thinking about buying or selling in Tampa Bay and want a strategic approach to presentation, pricing, and positioning, I’d be glad to help.

I recently sold a condo in Tampa Florida through Engel & Volkers. I was rewarded by them giving me the best agent I could have hoped for, Shane Vanderson. Shane went above and beyond real estate duties. His knowledge guided me through warranty processes, navigate through non serious buyers and those who showed more interest in my unit. He even went as far as shopping for replacement filters for my HVAC system, and installed them. At no cost to me. He's a gem of an agent. I would highly recommend him, with hesitation.
